The SmartBro Motorola Canopy fixed wireless broadband internet from Smart Telecommunication is really a disaster for a subscriber who lived at the last mile such as people in the provinces and in the island since the only option for broadband to those who reside there to get hook to the net. Living in these places is a headache if your connection is in trouble, for you to get a technical support it will took weeks and even months because of the area is not much accessible.
Unfortunately unlike in the city you have so many alternative the xDSL from different Telcos, 4G WiMAX and LTEs are among of those best and the fastest that are blazing connection of nowadays.
I write this article to help my reader/s DIY his SmartBro Motorola Canopy antenna configure for best signal and connection available in their area.
First, you must login to the Canopy GUI either by using root, admin, or sbro-installer account to be able to navigate the setting.
The screenshot above is an example of good link quality as you can see the nearest your are to the BTS or the Smart Telecom base station the better it is with the power lever of -51dBm with 3 Jitter is already best and this is very rare unless you are closer to the tower as indicated approximately 0.54miles or 735 feet.
This next screenshot shows that the overall link quality is Ok, it achieve a power level of -74dBm with 4 Jitter and approximately 0.20 miles or 1078 feet this because of Air delay it has 22.
The third screenshot shows a Bad overall link quality, it has worst power level that exceed to -78dBm with 3 Jitter, Air delay of 155 and approximately 1.07 miles or 5635 feet.
Even though I have these three different type of Overall Link Quality condition I still achieve a smooth connection surfing the net. The SmartBro Canopy fixed wireless broadband made by Motorola now Cambium Network is a rugged even in rainy and hot temperature will still work finely.
My suggestion and experienced with regards to gain good Overall Link Quality is to face the SmartBro Motorola Canopy antenna to BTS, another thing if your location is far from the BTS is to used a sattelite dish as a reflector.

Ask ko po, ung canopy ko walang masagap na BTS nung nag try ako ng AP Eval. laging 0 (zero) ang result. may kailangan pa po ba akong gawin? thanks
@ JM Lee : yan ay possible na wala kang masasagap na AP Eval eto ay (1) dahilan kung ikaw ay nakatira sa NCR, sa National Capital Region or sa city ussually ang SmartBro Canopy antenna ay hindi na ginagamit in other words obselete na ito at pinalitan ng ng 4G maliban na laman sa province at sa mga karatig na Island. During my time in Manila I also experience that my Canopy can no longer grab and search any AP this is because di na ginagamit karamihan sa mga major cities.

4-6 then my power level reach 75 -78 dbm but still said ok . what should i do im from sta maria bulacan

You can change your AP (access point) change your respective color code that your BTS has lesser user, good signal that is less than 75dB so that you can achieve good and smooth link connection.

when ever i click rescan AP always 2 only so i got this 2 only sir what should i do next ?
the only problem i have here is the power level the jitter is ok im using the color code 211 coz it has less power level but is there any way that i can make that power level lower ?

First of all if it is possible for you to rotate the posting of your SmartBro Canopy antenna you may do so for you to be able to get the best and the list of all APs in you area. But if the only results gives you as on the above two (2) APs shows, then the only choices is try it one by one APs that works for you. I would advice you to use the second APs that has 1 index, 2 jitter and 38 usercount though the power level is -77dBm that is still fine and will give you a smooth internet connection provided there is no cloner in your area, once there is someone using your ESN (electronic serial number) aka MAC address in your same area you will get intermittent connection and that will cause you problem. If the other guy who is using your ESN is nearer to BTS then you will probably loose you link that is due (signal strength). Hopefully there is no malice hand in your area that you alone who is using your ESN aka mac address. My suggestion is that if you are a legit user you may go to Smart center and let your Canopy swap/change it with the new product of Smart/PLDT the myBRO this is 4G WiMAX then you will probably enjoy what you have paid for.

Sis, myBRO is same Plan999 as SmartBro Canopy. I encouraged you to get/upgrade to 4G WiMAX of myBRO Smart new products. The SmartBro Canopy will soon be onsolete and less support for it, only selected provinces are using Canopy or those who are at the last mile. I am sure your area are also covered by 4G WiMAX then its better for your to get upgrade with myBRO you can go to your nearest Smart/PLDT center hope this will helps you. Insist to get upgrade for their new products 4G WiMAX myBRO s that you will enjoy what you have paid for.
