Huawei is 3rd in global smartphone shipments, LG grows, Apple slows, Samsung leads

A new report by research and consulting firm Strategy Analytics outlined global smartphone shipments for Q3 2013. Total smartphone shipments reached a record 251 million last quarter, a rise of 45 percent overall. Here are some of the firm’s findings: Huawei China’s Huawei smartphone shipments grew 67 percent since this time last year to 12.7 million units.
