First of all is we have to make it sure that we are able to access or connect the Huawei BM622 4G WiMAX wireless broadband modem CPE by verifying through pinging the IP address 192.168.1.1 via CLI (command line interface) or thru web GUI (graphical user interface) on browser with same IP address at http://192.168.1.1 to make it realistic as show below snap shot.
Whether or not the Huawei BM622 4G WiMAX wireless broadband modem CPE enable/disable its DHCP server we have also to verify our PC if we are using Dynamic or Static IP address to anticipate if the CPE device reboots failed to provide IP address or the PC itself can not acquire its IP address.
Static IP address is more preferable during TFTP firmware uploading operation to make it sure we are in the same IP address subnet and our PC is still connected even if the CPE device fail its DHCP server during power on.
To start with, the PC must be ON with the Static IP address above mention. Power off the CPE device Huawei BM622, unplug the AC/DC adapter then plug it again and remain the power is OFF.
- Click START and RUN, then type cmd to open windows CLI (command line interface) mode
- Type cd\ to change directory i.g. C:\
- Make sure your bm622firmware2010.bin is in local drive C:\
- Type tftp –i 192.168.1.1 put bm622firmware.bin as you can see from the screenshot below, wait DO NOT press enter yet until to do so.
- Make sure or double check that the LAN cable is physically connected to the PC and to the CPE device Huawei BM622 port.
- Using a pin or sharp item insert onto the pin hole and press the “Reset” button at the side of the CPE device Huawei BM622 as shown below snapshot.
- Press the Power ON button of the Huawei BM622 while still pressing the "Reset" button.
- Release the “Reset” button of the Huawei BM622 and press Enter to begin the TFTP firmware upload.
- Please wait for 1 (one) minute and reboot the modem.
- Press “Reset” while BM622 is ON.
- Open your browser type http://192.168.1.1 to verify or check if your firmware is already being uploaded, just do same procedure if it is unsuccessful. This tutorial is if you want to downgrade or upgrade your BM622 firmware via TFTP, this can be also applied to 4G WiMAX CPE Huawei model BM621, BM622i, BM625, and BM626.

Sa firmware destroyer gamit ka ng "baklas kabit" method dapat techie ka at may TSOP48 madali lng tanggalin pro mahirap ikabit at dapat may flasher ka ang alternative ay JTAG at Serial.
sa firmware 2012 hindi ko pa nasubukan kasi wala akong firmware nyan, ang FTP minsan gumagana prior doon sa booting minsan naman ay hindi gumagana. Pag meron kang Andruino mas mainam kung gamit kana lng ng JTAG sa pag upgrade at downgrade, para makita mo ang logs gamit ka nga kahit anong Serial Com putty or Hyperterminal.

Btw ang modem ko is BM622 na 2011. Nung binili ko to sabi may protection na daw to, di ko lang sure kung ano ibig sabihin nun. Kasi nakaoff naman na lagi yung lahat ng access niya except LAN http and ssh kapag nag restore to default settings ako. Ako lang din kasi naka blank wan kasi may ininput ako na mac na weird yung series, ayun, sira :)

ang BM622 madali lng yan i-repair gamit ng 50pesos hardware flasher kung meron ka lng basic electronic skill at magagawa mo yun kagaya ng blog readers ko.
kung plano mo ipa fix sakin wala din problema kung ka area tayo as of now nasa province ako, pede mo padala yung halfboard lng sa LBC yun lng ang carrier na alam ko. my advice is read mo yung comment ni jEnNrhANz I am sure kahit di mo padala sakin yung unit you yourself can fix it I am sure for that.

yung hardware switch protection ay hindi 100% effective ang kadalasan ay na Blank WAN, wag mag alala that is fixable at magagawa mo din yan konting tyaga lng.

kapag ba ijujumper ko lang yung WAN IC to this DIY flasher, kelangan ko pa din ba ng hot air na pang solder o kahit yung normal na pangsolder lang? Or kahit wire lang ididikit ko using any method?

# sa BM622 dalawa lng ang nkita ko na IC kung pede saan pinaglagyan ng firmware yung isa Spansion S29GL064 dito yung firmware nkalagay ito yung flash memory, yung isa naman M35P32 Serial flash memory dito yung MAC address nakalagay.

corrupted po yung na upload nyo na file, ang remedy is re-flashed na lng ho pra madali ma revive ang BM622 nyo gamit ang 50pesos LPT/Printer port flasher.
