This article is supposed and not only intended to jEnNrhANz comment on my previous post Huawei BM622 Blank WAN Solved! but also to other netizen who is facing similar problem on having hard time solving the blank WAN issue likewise for the "tulala" this will help their life more easier.

The screenshot above as many of you are familiar with the board of Huawei Echolife BM622 this is the so-called WAN_IC, most the version of Huawei BM622 4G WiMAX broadband modem wireless router it uses ST Micro M25P32 (25P32V6G) 32Mbit, Low Voltage, Serial Flash Memory. Another version of this device gateway is using different chips but there is an alternative substitute/reference for Serial Flash Memory to those who are techie.
To make life more easier on DIY repairing the BM622 "blank WAN" likewise the "tulala" issue there is no need for "Baklas Kabit" meaning no need for you to removed the WAN_IC and put it back again after re/flashing. Without taking off the chip is best to re/flash the WAN_IC to avoid damaging by using a "hot air".
Here's few things I need:
Take note for the soldering lid used here I have chosen the tiniest 0.3mm diameter because the thick one will not do the work well, you can find on the cellphone technician shop ask only for 1meter is enough.
Tiny copper wire this will be used for jumpering the ST Micro M25P32 Serial Flash Memory or the WAN_IC, its 0.10mm diameter just like the strand of your hair. This is also a cellphone technician best friend you can ask for 1meter is enough.
An alternative where you can get a tiny copper is from your busted cheap fluorescent lamp. When using a soldering iron a pointed tip is best to not mess with lid since M25P32 surrounded by tiny capacitor and resistor it might be damaged or may short circuited with other parts.
The simplest programming/flashing the M25P32 Serial Flash Memory is to used the IC socket with tiny copper wires atleast two IC socket will do and a candle glue you can get this from eGizmo if you are in Manila or Alexan.
My USB MiniPro TL866CS Universal Programmer I bought it from eBay, it can programmed of thousand of chips, read, write and re-flashed different types of eeprom, flash memory, etc.
The BlackcatUSB can also read, write and re-flashed but only limited chips unlike the TL866 can do thousands. The good thing about this programmer device is that you can use it as JTAGging also bought from eBay.
This is not the least option or alternative for repairing the Huawei Echolife BM622 4G WiMAX broadband wireless modem router blank WAN likewise for "tulala". The cheapest for about less than 50pesos or FREE hardware for flashing the M25P32 is the LPT a homemade flasher. It is slower when programming if compared to the above two USB programmer/flasher
AEOLUS rework station is just an option if you prepare the "baklas kabit", removing and putting it back from the board of the Echolife BM622 the ST Micro M25P32 Serial Flash Memory is really so tricky because you might burned it by using the "hot air" improperly.

Kung balak mo talaga mgrepair ng BM622 Firmware Destroyed/FWD dapat meron ka tlagang skilled sa pagkabit ng mga 48pin chips na Surface mount mainam kung ikaw ay expert cellphone tech dahil ang chips madali tanggalin at mahirap ikabit at madaling nasusunog.
Meron din substitute IC para sa firmware destroyer. post ko sa sunod kong post.

Sis your question is not so clear, what I understand on your question is that you are referring to BM625 that has chips 25P32V6G aka ST M23P32 SOIC16 package 16pins, while on BM622 it uses same chips also 25P32V6G aka ST M23P32 but SOIC8 8pins only. these two IC/Chips are absolutely the same just Google for the pdf if you can not find on my blog for your reference.
I meant, Im looking for how to connect the 8 wires jumper from bm622 wan ic to the 8 pin ic socket. I plan to flash the 25P32V6G IC without removing it.
This what I plan to do.
From bm622 25P32V6G IC in the ckt board, I will solder 8 jumper wires from pin 1 to pin 8.
Following the pin outs in the picture, pin 1 to pin 8:

At the other end of these 8 wires after soldering them, I will connect it to a 8 pin IC socket, then plug the 8 pin IC socket to the flasher.

From 25P32V6G IC pin #1,2,3... I don't know where to connect the wires in the 8 pin IC socket?
Assuming all wires are connected properly, can I erase and write a flash file in the 25P32V6G without removing it?
Bytheway, do you have a flash file for bm622 package 2010?

# BM622 uses the Chips/IC ST M25PP32 its a SOIC8 packaging has 8pins a surface mount device aka SMD, this Chips/IC is a Serial Flash Memory were the config file is located. on the other hand
The Spansion S29GL064 or ST M29W640 on other version is a TSOP48 packaging likewise an SMD Chips/IC that has 48pins and its a NOR Flash Memory were usually the firmware is being place.
On the case of your WiMAX modem I am confident that it is already hit by firmware destroyer aka FWD, these Chips/IC such as Spansion S29GL064 or ST M29W640 are usually the target of the ISP an auto updater to eliminate the non-legit users, once your device/unit found inside the ISP system within minutes your device will be bricked or malfunction.
Don't be sad all Huawei Echolife 4G WiMAX modem are repairable provided you have the basic electronics skill, the proper tool kit and also the programmer/flasher an example is my MiniPro TL866CS to read/erase/write/reflashing.

# The 25P32V6G aka ST M25P32 is a SOIC8 packaging a Surface Mount Device (SMD) that has 8pins, its a 4Mb Serial Flash Memory also they call it as WAN_IC.
While the Spansion S29GL064 or ST M29W640 is a TSOP48 packaging likewise an SMD that has 48pins, its a 64Mb NOR Flash Memory were the firmware is located also they call it as FWD_IC.
The firmware package may vary from 2009, 2010 and 2011. all of this firmware are available at ISP for updates/upgrade but there is no way to downgrade via GUI.
Note that, there is a different between raw/dumpfile firmware and the firmware updates/upgrade provided by the ISP.
The raw/dumpfile firmware can be read/edit/modify and write it directly onto Chips/IC such as Spansion S29GL064 or ST M29W640 by the use of appropriate Programmer/Flasher whereas the firmware updates/upgrade provided by the ISP can not, need to be extract first with thr proper tool if you wanted to do so.
The DIY flasher aka LPT 50peso flasher can only read/erase/write/reflashed 25P32V6G although this is very slow but tested to work and not for S29GL064.
My MiniPro TL866CS is my best friend will do the task to any Chips/IC both support for your problem.

Yes all repairman have gone to this even I my self have burned (at least 12 of my ST M29W640 and 4 of M25P32) both the Chips and the board. The technique is you must have an extra Chips/IC both the 25P32V6G and the
S29GL064, you can not avoid the Chips/IC being burned that is the reality. The setting of the SMD Hot Air Tool Kit may depend on your device, you have to familiar the air and the heat first then you will be able to get the setting it. Just try little by little both the heat and the air, you can come out with your perfect combination setting.

# MinPro TL866CS ang gamit ko pang read/write/reflashed at program sa IC/Chips, may kasama na syang software, pede din Ezoflashe, Treskey at iba pa na mgsusupport sa nasabing IC/Chips.

Advice ko lng wag gumamit ng homemade LPT flasher kung ikaw ay newbie kadalasan nasusunog ang WAN IC at kung wala kang spare di mo yan marerepair. Para madali mgreflash ng WAN IC dapat naka baklas yan gamit lng ng SMD hot Air.
sir jonathan, na flash ko na po ung ic pero d ko lang alam kung success ba, ung command ko kasi first ay : spipgmw /i tapos identified nya as M25P32 (4MB) , at second command ko spipgmw /e, last is ung spipgmw /p at ung attached na bm622 eprom na 4mb mo, nag 100% siya pero nong binalik ko ang IC sa board, blank wan parin.. wala rin kasi akong ss eh.. ano po kaya prob? baka d maaus pag kabit ko sa ic? salamat in advance sir.

Erase nang maayos Bro yung WAN IC mo kung pede erase mo ng 3x as in tatlong beses at double check kung totally blank, tapos reflash mo ulit gagana yan.

sir Jonathan, pasensya na po nalito lang ako sa WAN IC at Spansion IC. May BM622 ako 2009, may nagalaw ako sa config at na-upload ko. Wala na LAN connection, walang ilaw yung LAN led at hindi ko na ma-access yung GUI. Ano po kelangan iflash dito, yung WAN IC ba o yung tinatawag nilang Spansion IC? Ibig ba sabihin magkaibang IC ang iflinaflash depende sa sira? Sana po magshare din kayo ng tutorial kung pano ang fix sa gaya ng issue ko. Tnx in advance po.
