PLDT Fiberhome HG6245D RP2602

Finally I was able to find one PLDT Fiberhome ONU HG6245D around the NCR area, the good thing is that the firmware is still unchanged its RP2602 so the default Super Admin username and password for the graphical user interface (GUI) is widely known no need to guess. How about adminpldt user account and password? Its by default you can just find it on this blog its identical to AN5506-04-FA/T there's no need to worry.

Looking at the menus I can see no difference with RP2627 and RP2631 of AN55-0406-FA but except of the IPTV sub-menu is already revealing.

Another sub-menu we can see under the Network Menu is the VoIP Settings, this will remind us that it would be possible for us to replicate the VoIP settings and make our own relay server and use a soft phone.

On the hardware side it is also an ARMv7 Processor but Broadcom chips only a single core.

Trying to get the web username and password looks like not possible anymore on the config\web# list.
Config\web# list

Hello Sir, just want to ask about PLDT router changing it to bridge mode. Is it beneficial? Will it affect the speed of my internet? I know I can't bridge my router now but I may consider asking PLDT to do it for me. If I it is worth it.

Resetting/switching the Fiberhome PLDT ONU from Route mode to Bridge mode maybe or may not be beneficial to some points to you, and this may depends on what you after in doing so. If you are very much concerned about the bandwidth/speed making the ONU on Bridge mode by your self will give you less speed/BW as many users have been experienced including me. However not all subscribers of PLDT agreed to this scenario because not all ONU owners were degraded when doing the above mention configs as what you are querying.
But if you really badly need to turn your ONU in to the Bridge mode I suggest to let you call 171 and request it, the CSR will transfer you to the second level Tech team they will properly configure the ONU device for you. Sometimes and not all the times, as per request on Bridge mode they(PLDT) will let you agree to sign for a waiver for that purposes. On the other hand, Bridge mode the ONU by yourself is also beneficial but not for the bandwidth/speed purposes, its on the other way around.

Hi sir, i have the same model and software version. I am trying to enable all the lan ports but it is not working. I used the ssuperadmin and bind all the ports but still no internet access for the result. Hopw you can help

Hello Sir Pakitong thank you for the reply. My concern is I am so sick about their update. The Fibr password update has become a norm for PLDT and I know time will come that they are going to stop us from sharing the new passwords. Maybe we can face legal action by doing so in the future. Aside from that the update also affects the needed features like AP isolation, port forwarding and so on. I would rather use another router that can give more freedom than relying on PLDT's mercy.

@tech

you can request for Bridge mode from pldt so that you can have the freedom just buy 3rd party wireless router with dual band such as tplink, xiaomi. mikrotik, ubiquiti and some others alike depend on your budget and needs.

@unknown

The new HG6245D ONU is a total lockdown and you donot have the freedom. that is the pldt devil ONU ever they provide for the subs. request for Bridge mode and get 3rd party wireless router if you have extra budget.

IS THERE ANY WAYS TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD OF f~i!b@e#r$h%o^m*esuperadmin -> TO ANY PASSWORD??

I have a problem with this modem. Only the power button lights up and it doesn't connect at all. Is there a way for an easy fix for this?

Thanks for the effort looking into this sir Pakitong! By the way, after tons of research I was able to find some good quality ONTs, although it looks like they are not available to purchase for personal use.

Would it be as easy as plug and play if ever I get my hands on a brand new ONT? I've seen good ONT options from Huawei, Tenda and even TP-Link.

This fiberhome ONU can convert to EPON?

Hi Pakitong, just wanna clarify, why is it that the wireless speed I am getting is not the same as the wired connection to the modem say 600mbps, I can only get 285-310mbps on my phone & laptop wirelessly, is there a way to get the full speed specially on the laptop?

can you please publish HG6245D RP2613 MTD PARTITION BACKUP, so we can downgrade our RP2740 Version thanks a lot!

Pakitong,can we change the serial number of this onu?

Pakitong, can we change the serial number of this ONU?

I have a spare HG6245D from P*DT. Is there any way to de-brand this to gain permanent full control?
